dreams

So, I was taking a nap this afternoon and had another Farscape dream. This time I was in a pod or some other small craft as a Peacekeeper command carrier rose above the horizon of the planet I orbited, its cannons slowly training in on my little ship.

I don't remember who was with me but what was strange about all of this was that I couldn't move. literally. I was still dreaming kind of, but also partly aware of my breathing in the waking world. While paralized my breathing was slow, maybe I stopped for a little while.. I began to panic and in my dream and finally broke free. I heard my breathing again, which was laborious and rapid, and moments later I was fully awake again.

I'm awake now, and rested. In fact I should begin dying my hair, as it's already 3:30...

That wierd waking-up paralysis is some scary shit. I have been through it. It seemed to go away after I joined the Army, though. Maybe it was shock therapy, but it worked. Have a friend come into your room and bang a trash-can lid really loudly every morning at 5 AM for like two months straight, and you should never have to worry about that again. You'll have developed new, more traumatizing neurological disorders. But hey... at least they'll be disorders that lots of people have, so they'll be easy to diagnose and cure with drugs!
