Did you read where gubberment wants to switch everyone over to digital tv by 2009?  They want to do away with analogue completely.   No fwee grainy wocal TV for yoo!  Yoo pay! Yoo pay Nrow!

Wait.  It gets better.

Being our knight in shining armour, the feds have proposed a 1.5 Billion Dollar program to help poor people buy necessary digital equipment.  

That's right.  1.5 billion dollars!   This is the SAME fucking government that is currently doing it's best to cut back and/or eradicate any and all social programs- such as student loans, medicaid/medicare, food stamps, ect.

No you can't have any food but here's a nice shiny new color tv to um, keep your mind off things.

WTF is wrong with this county and it's people that we allow things like this to be openly discussed as viable options.  I'm not opposed to technology when it's not used against us, but damnit do not gut needed social programs only to turn around and give people propaganda boxes television sets.  

Sam?  Keep you nappy hands off our social programs and give us decent paying, meaningful jobs where we can afford to purchase unneeded luxury items on our own if we so choose.

you know, if it weren't for other christians i wouldn't be ashamed to say i beleived such myself. pat robertson isn't so different than osama bin laden in many regards. if killing were easier pat would have blood on his hands too.

so no, spying.. fascism has nothing to do with god. it has to do with oppressors and the oppressed, which we increasingly find ourselves being.
