home safe

I came in an hour or so ago & I'm so tired from driving all day I could almost go to sleep right now.  Mom & I had a pleasant visit, and I set up her new computer & made sure she was able to get online and print and so on.  She seemed much happier now that she's in her new place.  We drove by her old duplex in the afternoon, it looked desolate.  The surrounding duplexes were mostly unrented and in horrible condition.  I'm glad she moved. it wasn't safe there anymore.   

We went to eat at some pizza buffet called Stevie B's and while there I was ma'amed twice by different people..  My attire was as drab as drab can be.. old black sweats, Turn Pale t-shirt, loose fitting gray sweat jacket and my hair was pulled back.  I also wore a sports bra.  That's happening more and more now.  Mom wasn't near enough to overhear on either occasion,  for better or worse.

I'm pooped.  I don't know why driving makes me so tired. 

You know, I've never had a pedicure.  I think tomorrow I shall treat myself. 

I also found an inexpensive message therapist in town ($30/hr) and would like to schedule an hour before Tuesday.

I take it your p's are divorced. Did not know that. I thought they still lived in Athens in some big ol house somewhere. Sorry about that.

Yeah, pamper yourself. You deserve it and I am happy you've decided to stick with your current job. Seems they want you there and that is a GOOD THING. Stick with it.

I'd never gotten a pedicure either until, like the day before the wedding, when I got one becuase my shoes were open toed. One of my bridesmaids came with me and SHE'D never done it either. First she said she'd just watch, so she talked while the girl was scrubbing my feet (and I kept cracking up at really random intervals because it tickled like mad) and she decided it looked like fun so I treated her and SHE kept cracking up - it was really ridiculously girly (for me) and definitely more fun if you have someone else to laugh at you/laugh at.
