I just realized something

Well, I just realized that I've been posting on Livejournal for 6 years.  My first few posts in 2002 were about an upcoming back surgery I was about to have.  I was so afraid because I'd never been put under general anesthesia and was afraid I wouldn't wake back up.  I did, and my back healed very nicely.

I only knew a handful of people on here back then.  I can't remember who invited me to LJ, was it you Blu?  It's been so long ago.  In any case it's been very nice keeping in touch with old friends this way.  I miss hanging out with you guys.

I started a few months before you did, and I remember that. I'm glad you didn't die...

And I am glad you're still here.

Wow..has it been that long? Crazy how fast time goes by. I know I dont comment too much but i do read everything you post. It is nice to keep tabs on old friends especially when you live on the other side of the country. I miss you too.. and several people from Atlanta.

unrelated to this post...

i just found John Edwards is out. I don't recall if Georgia had their primary yet. I don't think so.

California is part of Super Tuesday and I've voting absentee. I'm now glad I've procrastinated on that, 'cause I was going to vote for Edwards too.

So they just throw out absentee votes for candidates that later withdraw? That is lame.

I'm not sure who to support now. I really, really want to vote for a woman pres, but I really, really don't like her ties to big business, her vote on the Iran 'terrorist' bill last fall and her support of NAFTA. I'm not sure Obama will be able to bring both parties together and work out any kind of anything. Republicans aren't going to just give their power away like that. It doesn't work that way. I know John sided with Obama more often than not, but I'm definitively undecided at this point.
