A lot of folks in that pay range in NY don't get much in the way of regular compensation (i.e., salary). For reasons I never worried too much about (since they'd never apply tome), they take a huge "bonus" at year end instead of salary.

Just saying that it might not be as bad as it looks, i.e., a true bonus on top of compensation.

I say that even though I think anyone giving an "actual" bonus to screwup execs ought to go to jail, directly to jail, without stopping at go . . .
