friendly fire

Anyone know of a metro support group for people who have been hurt by church & religious family members?

I know of emotions anon and other 12 steps, but those aren't exactly what I had in mind.

It's not really what you were asking for, yet I often mourn moving so far away from DE Paulk's church. Just as I left they shifted everything to be aggresively GBLT affirming and, astonishingly, to celebrate and welcome people of all faiths without any pretense of converting them. I have never felt as much at home in a church setting as I did there. You will recall that DE was the person that took Jay Bakker in when most of the rest of the Christian world rejected his father and vicariously Jay as well. Maybe the most healing thing one could find would be finding folks who actually live out the heart of Jesus.
