Fresh pressed cider, is it?

nope -- just the clear processed apple juice you see. it's so smooth.. not too sweet either.

I think I mentioned it's apple season here, in the context of pies...or not. Either way, it's also fresh pressed cider season. I'm hoping to get some for fermentation purposes.

oh? do you make wine?

I have made wine a couple of times. I've had much better luck with beer. I've even made a very successful mead. But I want to try cider.

My dad used to make wine in our kitchen sink.. it was a weekly thing for him. He had a stash of ceramic & glass wine bottles in the basement that I always liked to look at.

I have a large collection of the old style crown cap bottles...the ones you'd need an opener to pry off rather than the twistoff kind. I've even got about 12 cases of the old stubby bottles that used to be everywhere here. They look like the Jamaican Red Stripe ones.
