It's the truth. Doesn't matter if the idea is conservative or liberal. Just have enough tv & radio goons talking about it and the people will soon follow. Sad really.

And that is exactly why they call the mainstream media "leftist". Forget that the media runs stories that appear left and right -- anything to generate interest and advertising dollars.

But I agree, the media is owned by large multinationals and it wouldn't be in their best interest to push leftist ideology to the degree it begins to change public opinion in ways that affect their political or economic ends.

I know. The MSM has a vested interest to keep things slanted to the right and totally dumbed down. That's the reason I'm such a huge supporter of public broadcasting. Most 'Mercans are surprised by how much in the news they hear in a foreign country that they wouldn't get to hear at home.
