oh definately! I haven't heard so much cool music in one night in a loong time. well, at least since DJC. hehe.

i hope nobody complains too much about the newer material because that's what i think is missing from goth nights now.. that and variety in general.

so new music is what i'm *most* interested in promoting, although i loved flailing to the old-school songs too. :o)

I would like to help. It's nice not being the promoter! Problem is again Michael; I don't like to leave him too often.

As for music, it was a fun mix and I too like new material. Problem is that it needs to be fit into context for clubgoers who aren't familiar. And even last night, the few people who danced stuck to the "hits." And why not--we hadn't heard a lot of that in clubs for months! Funny, the first band I played last night was on 99X on my ride home; I was trying for both familiar and unexpected and glad it wasn't too far out.

You've got a good alternative way to help change that with deadatlanta.net I suggest that next time you have flyers for the site at the club so people can go check out what is being played. Perhaps someone has an internet radio site that you could link to. It also would be worth asking Blu (hi Blu!) who to talk to for promos to hand out at the club--thereby letting people familiarize themselves on their own. Then too, if this is to succeed regularly (and this has been true for years) on a Wednesday, you will probably have to convince people to venture away from MJQ.
