I'm going to Flux tonight.. I think Dara & Les are going too.
wow.. Just a week and a half away from Necropolis @ Armory. and I'm a little anxious! Mike I hope you can come and help out. This weekend I shall begin flyering l5p & east altanta.
I have -far- too many clothes in my room. Sadly, I just finished looking at several dresses that I wouldn't mind adding to my wardrobe. More clothes.. not what I need right now.
The electricity in my room is back on. Mr. Sparky found a bad outlet in the other bedroom which caused my room's power to go out. Now I can finish reorganizing everything.. maybe I'll move my bed too. I'm sorely tempted to paint it black. My landlord said he didn't care, but that I'd have to paint it all white again before I moved out.

Ok, I've finally decided to do something about this atrocious white paint in my bedroom. And living room for that matter.
I read usenet archives and the atl.gothic.faq too, and found three basic choices:
1) paint. I really like the burgandy paint in my bathroom, however I don't know if I want to use the same color twice in my smallish apartment. (my landlord doesn't care, but I have to paint it white when i'm ready to move).
2) fabric. I could use sheets or fabric from Joanne's. I have no idea how expensive this would be, but it's something that could easily be taken down on short notice. Velvet is probably out of the question due to cost and maintenance.
3) collage. Fill each wall with photos, lyrics, poems, drawings, posters, dried flowers, and whatever else fits. I like this however I'd be putting all of this on top of the existing wall paint, so I'd probably be faced with painting afterwords, but it wouldn't be like covering black paint with layers and layers of white.

I haven't used xmas tree lights in a long time because I've had poor luck with longevity. The longest I've had a set last was a little over half a year.
Does the addage "you get what you pay for" apply to these things too? I usually only be the cheapy big-lots variety. Maybe that's why they go bad so quickly.
