Upcoming Shows & Events
Jul. 1st, 2004 09:19 amJuly is shaping up to be a great month of live gothic / deathrock music (and club nights too).
Kontrol Faktor kicks the weekend off...
Next week begins with two concerts by one of dark underground's best live acts.
The Vanishing (made up of former members of Subtonix) are making their last US tour in probably a long time, as they are moving to Europe soon. See them at MJQ on Monday and in Athens at Caledonia on Tuesday.
The Prids arrive from Portland on Saturday to play with Atlanta's own eNTERTAINME.nt. If you missed The Prids last year you don't want to miss them again - they play a punchy and energetic style of post-punk backed by live drums, rich keyboards and an amazing bassist/vocalist. So do come to MJQ and support eNTERTAINME.nt whose fresh style of moody dark rock compliments The Prids nicely.
Necropolis occurs a week from next Wednesday and features more new music than you can shake a femur at.
Several DJ's will be on hand to spin the best new deathrock, psychobilly, post-punk and gothic rock projects -- including many local bands. We'll have our old favorites on hand for requests as well. Entry is free and we'll begin around 9:30 or so.
We cannot say it enough...
*please* come out and show your support for our diverse scene.
