My tinnitus is unusually loud tonight.  I guess this has to do with the extra stress I've been under lately. 

sorry this post isn't more substantiative.  I'm going back to bed  (i got up because i forgot to take my dilantin).

I just remembered...Dad had tinnitus. He used to head the Ottawa chapter of some organization dealing with it. Is it still considered incurable, or have they made progress in the past decade?

No progress that I'm aware of. I've been told by several doctors to learn to cope.
