flu stuff

So I felt OK this morning - slept late. Went into work around 9. By 10 I felt tired/icky. By 11 I was definately feeling sick.. called my boss to let him know. Went home - collapsed into bed. Felt terribly achey, stomach hurt, touch of the sniffles. If I didn't like vomiting so much I would have. Over the next two hours I went to the bathroom 6 times. So wanted to puke but didn't. It's almost 2 now and I feel much more congested than earlier today. Coughed and sneezed once each a little while ago.

So... I've been watching episodes of Lost.. it helps having something mindless to do. May go documentary hunting in a little while. Anyone have suggestions?

Also, is it safe for me to eat chicken noodle, or should I avoid any and all food?

Eat what you feel like, but don't eat until you get hungry.
(There's no point your stomach rejecting it). Crackers - saltines or grahams - are good.
The important thing is to stay hydrated.
I recommend juice and Gatorade (even if it does fund the University of Florida football team).
My favorite thing to have when I'm feeling queasy is frozen coke. Kris said her mom used to give them flat coke when she and her sisters were sick. I guess if you freeze it (opened can, of course), it'll go flat, anyway.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well, and really glad you're not sharing it.

Oh I was craving saltines earlier today. I guess it's the salt I want more than anything. We used to get jello when we were sick.. jello and ginger ale.
