Sweetwater Park

So, [livejournal.com profile] johnbutler and I rode out to Sweetwater park this afternoon. (edit -- actually we visited here 4 years ago almost to the day. link to our visit in 2004)

The weather today was slightly cool, but still beautiful. We walked about 4 miles, much of that over debris strewn over the trails from last month's floods.

Twin Rivers, another step in my journey

I'm home safe and sound, and rested.  It was a beautiful weekend.. the food was yummy, the cabins clean and comfy, and the people were wonderful.    More importantly I felt the spirit moving amongst us, speaking to us in each our own way.    I left the resort feeling enriched.    I pray I take even just a little of what was offered this weekend and begin applying to my life in a meaningful way, starting now.

soreness

My legs and back ache today from volleyball last night.    I went walking with Sam the Eagle earlier today at Panola Mountain, which was enjoyable.  Afterwords I walked to Videodrome and rented two dvd's and finished the first tonight.  Tomorrow I'm planning to go to St Mark with Dianna and Linda, then I'll come home & watch Seattle SX on cbs.  I seriously need to finish cleaning & organizing my room tomorrow.  And I have a bunch of web programming to do.

Sunday's weather couldn't have been better. So my roommate & I went to the Sweetwater Mill ruins for a walk before the hoards arrived. We took a few pictures along the way...
