X was fun. I stood in front of billy the whole time and he seems like one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. His smiles were totally infectious. After each encore (there were 2) he stepped down on the bouncer platform and walked across the length of the stage shaking people's hands & getting photos & stuff.

The show was great too. I'd seen Exene a long time ago on one of her solo tours but I've always wanted to see the full band with Zoom. They didn't play anything new, which was ok since they weren't touring for a new record or anythihng, I think they are way beyond trying to make it which is I guess partly why they were able to have so much fun this time around.
I regret not staying afterwords to say hi to Exene & the rest, though they were probably tired after playing and in a rush to get to DC for their next show. I can't believe that Billy is 55, he looks like the youngest one in the band now. John had gobs of energy, he bounced around and played his bass aggressively all night. Exene was Exene, she never bounced around much.. DJ Bonebrake was a maniac on drums, he looked quite insane when he was playing. I don't know how old he is but he didn't slow beats down at all, if anything they sped up a one or two songs.
