*nix question

Okay, so df lists available drive space for mounted volumes.. what can I use (from the command line) to check the amount of space used in a specific subfolder?

Mine has an electric pickup and came with a nice hardshell case too.  It sounds *really* nice considering it's small size. 

It's exceedingly boring to look at however.
