So - I finally have all the outstanding debt cleared on my credit report, except for my student loans (which are in good standing and are being paid back).
Last week I applied for a new account at a local credit union. They accepted my application so while they had my credit score handy I asked about a small personal loan. I explained that I didn't need the money but wanted to increase my credit score. They approved my loan and also suggested that I apply for a credit card with my favorite store (with warnings about maxing it out, late payments, ect).
Will applying for two things in the span of a two weeks look irresponsible to future lenders? Before the credit uinion pulled my credit I had 3 inquiries in the past 2 years.
