Wish they would come back to atl

So I finished book one a couple weeks ago and started the second. Maybe it's my being dreadfully ill the last few days, but I am having a hard time getting in to the second (I'm midway through chapter 3). Will the story pick up again soon, or do I need to put it down until I'm feeling better?
