My neighbor will love me.. In honor of the parade ride with Dykes on Bikes this weekend I swapped the factory quiet muffler for the racing supertrapp -- it's LOUD. ha. But that's part of the fun at Pride.. last year my KX250 was drownded out by the harleys & triumphs running straight pipes.

Work became "interesting" again yesterday. And today I gave a brief demo of a project I'm wrapping up. Still have a little more coding to go but it's getting very close. hooray.


Learned how gels work yesterday in bio lab.. I see images of them at work all the time, never knew what they were. Then as Dr. Ricketts (one of my favorite teachers of all time) was setting up an experiment I started seeing outlines that looked familiar.. then it hit me, she was making a very simplified version of what the lab people use at work. pretty cool stuff..

Dell finally sent my Windows 7 cd. Its here... now I just need to move data from this system to my big PC in the basement.. then wipe the drive clean and see what Mr. Gates has to offer. :o)

But before I do that I may upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 to see whether the new system loader is really any faster. I doubt I'll conver to ext4 since doing so won't give as much performance benefits as if I wiped the drive and formatted ext4 at the beginning (according to Ubuntu).
