Well I went to LA Fitness for the first time in months this morning.  I'm quite sore now.

Afterwords I fixed the lock on my bedroom door and resumed working with Adobe Audition and my Maya 1010 audio interface..  My guinea pig is an old Girl Pool song, which used to sound a lot different.  I tossed the original bass guitar line and added a synthbass instead.  The guitar needs re-recording, well.. everything does really.. but here's where I am as of tonight:  Domain.mp3.

Later on I started watching what is turning out to be a really interesting take on Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.  A True Story was made in 1973 and shown on network tv of all things.  Unlike most versions the creature doesn't look nasty upon his creation.  He looks like any other man, and he's very handsome.  Well.  I won't spoil anything so go to Movies Worth Seeing and rent this.. it's worth watching if you haven't seen it yet.

That's available? I had no idea. Even my "Frankenstein" purist friends like that one.

Yes, it was released on VCR years ago and is now available on DVD. I've seen a few DVDs on Ebay, but beware the bootlegs.

I finished watching it this afternoon and now have the opinion that The True Story is hands down the best Frankenstein movie I've seen. In some ways it honors the book and at other times takes interesting liberties.

That's what I have heard from a lot of people. BTW, the Hallmark miniseries from a couple of years ago is slavishly faithful but it is also quite good. I am just glad to see filmmakers reading the book instead of merely aping the (admittedly fabulous) Universal films with Karloff.
