I find myself wondering whether the people of this country will ever stand up to our immoral, unjust and out-of-our-control corporation government.
Arguments that democrats have no vision perturb me for two reasons. First saying this over Fox news dozens of times a day plants seeds in our minds. But what really kills me is there is a grain of truth to the accusation. Where is our vision? What is our vision? Obviously, we want out of Iraq, we want to stop spynet and other infringements on our Bill or Rights. But what really defines our party these days? Sometimes it seems that people can't be bothered to give this more than a second or two of thought before focusing their attention on the next big game. We've become utterly distracted from something very important. And I believe this didn't happen by accident.
Our freedom and duty to stand up to those who would oppose this countries Constitution and Bill of Rights seems to have taken a back seat to Wal-Mart shopping sprees and BitTorrent filesharing. This too wasn't accidental. We're under sensory overload, we fight with each other. We ignore what shouldn't be ignored. We long for love, stability and comfort yet we will never find peace in such distractions, we only prolong and delay the inevitable.
