as far as changing careers goes, you are never too old to do so.
as far as what to study, maybe you could see if you could sit in on some classes at a local school for a few days here and there - would be a good way to decide if you for sure want to teach. if you got into healthcare, what would it be? maybe you could ask to shadow someone in that area as well, then make your decision.
