Ok i've been thinking about working on another EP (such as my first was anyway).
I haven't started another group of songs becuase more songs means less chance of bringing in new members. At least that's what I've experienced so far.. two people wrote months ago and were very interested, but didn't join becuase there were songs already written - nevermind that they would be actively involved with co-writing new stuff, and would add their own signature to existing songs..
So I've had 4 people write in the last two weeks, 2 of whom have all but refused to play punk (hint, TFTD isn't a "punk" band... well it is, but not like they think).
Dana if/when you move here you've got a place in the project, providing I haven't found a full band by then and at this rate that doesn't look very promising.
I'm not sure what the 4th person thinks yet.. he's a great guy, seems very interested, is an insanely great guitarist/bassist.. but then last week indicated that we could get the same vibe with me singing in front of any kind of music. (hint hint...)
I'm cool with others bringing new ideas into the project, but i don't want to be set aside as just a singer with limited input in songwriting. my songs obviously suck, but their own cacaphonous style isn't something a seasoned pro would be able to reproduce. and that means something.. not much, but something.
So yeah.. new songs must be written.
then again.. maybe i'm just wasting my time. maybe I ought to be in school instead. or be going to work...
