I've been listening to the new Blind Michael Bradley CD.. I need to listen a few more times but I really like what I hear so far.
No, BMB isn't Myssouri (though a different version of One Holy Thing is included on the demo I have) but it is good. Very good.
Imagine.. well.. gothic folk. with a little twang added for seasoning. Michael's lyrics aren't easily forgotten and his tunes are interesting and in some cases irritatingly catchy - in others surprisingly unsettling. The blues already has a fading, tired heart, Michael Bradley gives the genre proper soul.
Blind Michael Bradley isn't all frowns. Islay and Ale couldn't be a better drinking song.. I wanted to sing along from the first refrain of the first time listening to it.
The cover of Decades (Joy Division) is amazingly good...
