Aug. 8th, 2004 09:03 amI woke up a few minutes ago and opened the living room window to be greeted with a cool, gentle breeze from the outside.. I am so tempted to drop everything I am supposed to do today and go riding again.
Alas.. I must make new flyers and post around town. Attendance for Necropolis has waned since our opening night and that has to change. I only flyered the week in advance of that night and online ever since. I think the people I'm reaching online aren't the kind of people who are interested in something like Necropolis.
Yesterday I visited a new (to me) electrologist referred to me by an aquaintence. Her name is Ahoova and she seemed very nice - and forthright about results.
She indicated that electrolysis will remove *all* off the hair, permenantly. But because I (and 99% of all ts women once upon a time) have large hair pores to begin with once a hair is removed the skin will sink in ever so slightly above the empty follicles. Actually laser apparently did work on some of my hair because she pointed out several examples of this pitting on my chin.
I let her work for thirty minutes on either side of my face. It would be better if I came in every couple of weeks for an hour or two at a time, she said, rather than 15/30 minutes weekly. She prefers clearing entire areas rather than lightly covering the entire face.
Ahoova said my skin reacted well to her treatment and I seemed to tolerate pain well. Once she reached the upper lip area, particularly the skin right below my nose, she said I will probabaly have to have a shot or something since this is by far *the* most sensitive area on the face. The left and right upper lip area won't be so bad, she said.
So, I've made an appointment for next weekend, for probably 30 minutes again.. I have a laser appointment on Tuesday and I thought about cancelling it and just using that money for electro, however I reallly want my face, at least my upper lip area, to be clean in time for next month. I will have the laser tech only touch the upper lip area, and hopefully that won't cost me as much either. I should find out however, and if she's charging me the full amount for three pulls of the trigger then she can kiss my grits.
