what's gotten in to me tonight? I'm actually using LJ again.
So I've been thinking of doing a solo road trip, maybe to California & back, maybe up north and back. In either case I'll be doing it on a shoestring budget and have heard that hostels are a great alternative to pricey motel rooms.
This will be the second time I've made such a road trip, the first was around 11 years ago... damn, it doesn't seem that far back now. Anyhow I drove my 71 Pontiac to frisco & back. That was a real adventure (I drove back with exactly no money in my pocket), and while I have the means I'd really like to do it again.
Anyhow... hostels.. Are they safe, and are they easily found?
