More nostalgia...

I'm on the right playing electric guitar. It was so dark on stage, I remember flubbing at least once in every song from losing track of the frets. There weren't many people at this show, which I think was our first public performance. Our second gig at the watt drew over 100 people which made us happy. This song is Pray and was one of my favorites:

From November 18, 1996 at the 40 Watt Club:

I'm playing bass, Steve Tucker is on keyboard and Xian sings.  The Girl Pool started life as a low-fi pop/experimental project before venturing further into goth/electronica.  I arranged and wrote the music of Veil after a miserable breakup with a girl I'd dated off and on for a couple years.  Xian wrote lyrics which fit the mood of the piece perfectly.

I have a few other clips from this show if anyone is interested.

Somebody I used to know from the Athens punk scene wrote me on myspace this weekend. It's nice hearing from old aquaintences.
