Wow.  You'd think these stupid Harly Davidson riders could at least afford a decent muffler.  I want to cover my ears every time they go by my apartment building.

purpose of load mufflers is so that cars can hear you 'cause they can't see you.

Yes, I know this.. I ride bikes too. I've been in two accidents involving other cars while riding my road bikes.

Loud pipes are especially helpful on the highways but the difference between them and me is I never "opened it up" in quiet residential areas.
