I purchased a new ECS mb & Pentium 4 / D511 chip to replace my old Sempron 2600.

Bios detects both hard drives. During boot, Suse dies:

Waiting for device /dev/hda11 to appear: ..........resume device /dev/hda11 not found (ignoring)

It then exits to /bin/sh which is where I am now.

What do I need to do next?

Looks like a typo. Don't you mean /dev/hda1 not /dev/hda11?

Are you using Lilo or GRUB to boot?

It's grub, and no type-o.

Perhaps the IDE or SATA driver isn't compiled in to the kernel? (Or not supported?)

I hope not. I'm downloading iso's now, hopefully the repair option will correct whatever is wrong.

Are both drives maybe set to Master?

well that would be a good thing to check but I didn't touch the drives while swapping the mb.
