A day of grace

I am thankful for being blessed with finding two good jobs in the last few months, for finding a reasonably inexpensive place to live in little five, and being only three miles from my office.

I am thankful for having enough to afford owning a motocross bike again. 

I am thankful for being reconnected with my cousins Frank and Lucy last winter, and for their acceptance and encouragement. 

I am thankful for being led to St. Mark UMC, where I am slowly beginning to make a second surrogate family.  St. Mark will never replace the one I grew up with and sometimes things don't go the way I'd like, but in spite of everything I deeply appreciate having someplace to go where I am accepted for who I am without question, criticism, or condition.

I am grateful for staying off hard drugs all of my life, after having seen first hand how destructive they are in the lives of people I love and care about.

I am thankful for relative good health, and that the back surgery I had several years ago was completely successful. 

Yes, I'm thankful for being part of this virtual social network where I am allowed to freely vent and share life's little joys with people I know in real life and others I may never meet. 

Most of all, I am thankful to be alive.
