I think I'd wear it with a pleated skirt (a little above the knee) and a chemise (to keep it feminine). I'd have to try it to be sure, of course, but that's what I think I'd try. I love burgandy, I don't care if it's "in" or "out." I don't love one-button jackets though, they don't look good on me. Perhaps they fit you differently, but I wouldn't get it for that reason alone. I'm also not crazy about the buttons on the pockets.
