Need help with soundproofing

I need to soundproof a small utility room in my basement so I can practice music without disturbing neighbors & roommies.

I'm looking for someone to help with buying materials and possibly assist with construction. If you have relevant experience and want to make a few extra dollars, please let me know.

A guy I used to see out and about manufactures soundproofing--at least a couple of years ago he had a full-fledged business doing it. It's Glenn, the frontman from The Cogburns. Not sure how to get in touch, but The Cogburns do have a myspace page.

cool. Three walls are stone, there is one small window, and the fourth wall is just 2x4 frame. I saw a youtube where they did the soundproofing on the cheap with layered sheetrock. I'm all about some cheap with this, since I'm renting. For now I don't care so much about acoustics.
