I feel ya. I don't even do the goth thing anymore, not here. I don't care what the sheep on the e-list say, Philly has a way better scene, and people down here could learn a lot from the phillygoths. One of these days I'm gonna head back up there. F@ck it!
i know.. if/when i am laid off of my job i've thought about moving to Portland. I've talked about this with my friends for months now. I'm not sure i'd make it out there but its close to the beach and the weather seems perfect.
anyhow.. i hope you're not *too* burned out on clubs because a new night is starting at the Armoury soon, called Dead Atlanta. ;) 'twill be comprised of modern and classic deathrock, gothic rock, horror punk, psychobilly, alternative early 80's, early industrial.. whatever... best part is no cover charge. the night will probably fail miserably but this stuff is rare around here, so hopefully a few of us can come together and meet while it lasts..
i'll post more later when the details are finalized.. i can say that it will be held at the Armoury on Wednesdays (but not just yet.. i don't know what's happening there on wed right now).
were you thinking of going to Drop Dead this year?
