If the colonies decended from the 13th tribe, shouldn't the entire fleet be cylons? If not, how does KT fit into all of this, if she's not the final?

Ah.. I vaguely remember the white ships from BSG '79. I do seem to remember (Apollo?) coming back from the dead.. off to wiki :)

i didn't think the colonies descended from the 13th tribe: there were the original 12 colonies and then a 13th that split off and headed for earth was how i've understood it. perhaps i am confused or missed something somewheres.

perhaps kara is not the final of the original cylon models, but the offspring of one of the ones from earth (perhaps what makes the final 5 truly different from the others is that they can reporduce? i mean, they'd pretty much have to in order to populate earth)?
