Vocal categorization... or, who am I?
Mar. 1st, 2006 09:45 amI'm bothered by the fact that I don't know where I belong, vocally. People who hear me talk in real life say that I may be countertenor or possibly even alto. But how can that be. Anyone who heard my voice 10 years ago might say otherwise.
I'm not sure where in vocal range I need to sing, or where I *could* sing with more practice. A lot of times I let my voice go and sing (and talk) below where I'd like. So you know, I don't want to be a soprano or have a pipsqeaky voice.. its not for me. But neither is what I used to sound like.. My comfortable place lies somewhere in between. I wonder what my voice could sound like with proper training & practice.
edited 8/2006: I lied, I would love to sing soprano after all.
